Drawing on my own experience with coaching and mindfulness, I now support others to navigate ADHD with clarity, confidence and practical tools that suit the way their mind works. My coaching approach combines lived experience with evidence-informed strategies, helping clients build trust in self, emotional resilience and systems that genuinely support their day to day lives.

Some of my favourite people are the ones who don’t let society rush them. They move at speeds that feel more natural to their being. They have their own idea of success that is based on inner thriving, and they treat their minds with gentle care.

Above all, they embrace growth the same way they embrace air and water, because they see life as a gift that encourages evolution.

A calmer way forward

Tame the monkey mind, embrace the ADHD mind.

I founded Mankey Mind as I’m on a mission to create a world where ADHD minds feel understood, supported, and celebrated. I use coaching, compassion, and honest storytelling to help people reconnect with their strengths, build confidence, and ultimately to work with their ADHD.

I offer an empathetic, steady coaching space where clients feel safe, seen and supported.

My approach centres on building trust in self, confidence and practical ways forward without shame or pressure. Sessions are collaborative, giving clients room to explore change in a way that feels sustainable for them.

About me

I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2020 at the age of 41, and it’s no exaggeration when I say it changed the course of my life.

Prior to diagnosis, I spent years struggling with anxiety, depression, impulsive behaviour, addictive patterns, low self-esteem, constant self-criticism and the ongoing struggle to keep a job. I knew I was capable, but I couldn’t understand why life felt so much harder than it seemed for everyone else.

The diagnosis was a genuine lightbulb moment, as cliched as that sounds. It gave me a way of understanding my mind, allowing me to finally start working with my ADHD. With the right support, therapy and coaching, I began to rebuild my relationship with myself - with more compassion, empathy, curiosity and tools that actually suited the way my brain works. Seeing the impact coaching had on my own life pushed me to become a qualified ADHD coach, and that same journey is what brings me here today: helping others understand their ADHD and find ways to work with it, not fight it.

Mindfulness has also been a steadying influence for me. Through that practice, I came across the Buddhist term ‘Monkey Mind’ - a description of mental restlessness, distraction and lack of control over our thoughts, the inner critic that hinders creativity and success and talks to you in a way you would never dream of talking to others. It captured my inner world so accurately that it became the inspiration for Mankey Mind: a space where ADHD is understood, supported and treated with respect rather than judgement.

Alongside coaching, I’ve been closely involved in the ADHD community, having served as Chairman of ADHD UK - helping take the charity to national prominence - and now continuing as a Trustee. I’ve also contributed to national projects aimed at improving ADHD understanding, support and practice across the UK.
